“Make Your Mark” is an integrated campaign for the Heather MacDonald Greene Multimedia Center in Kent Library at Southeast Missouri State University that first appeared in the fall of 2013. Conceptually, this campaign focuses on the multimedia center being a creative space on campus where people come together to design and build professional-level multimedia projects. The centerpiece of this campaign is the “Make Your Mark” brand. The design is inspired by the traditional, western branding irons used by cattle ranchers. Language used throughout the campaign is derived from various cowboy and western phrases and dialects. This project was awarded a 2013 Silver American Advertising Award for In-House Local Campaign on a Shoestring Budget at the Tri-State Advertising and Marketing Professionals Award Show.
