I used the design research methods to facilitate the redesign the Kent Library website. By observing how students and instructors utilized the website, were were able to create a low-fidelity paper prototype to test with users. Since there was easy access to many of the potential stakeholders in this redesign, testing was conducted in-person at a variety of locations across campus. The design team visited classes, set up a table in the student union, and invited faculty, staff, and administration to participate focus groups. After initial user testing, we created a high-fidelity prototype using Drupal and continued to iterate through constant assessment.
